Cancel Order Policy

At The Modern Kitchen Company, we understand that plans can change. This Cancel Order Policy explains how cancellations are handled for consultations, quotations, and kitchen remodeling projects.

1. Cancellation Before Project Commences

Customers may request to cancel their booked consultation or kitchen remodeling project before any work has commenced.

If no planning, design work, site assessment, material ordering, or project preparation has begun, you may be eligible for a full refund of any payment made.

2. Cancellation After Work Has Started

If cancellation is requested after planning, design services, material procurement, or installation work has commenced, any refund will be assessed based on:

  • The stage of the project.

  • Services already completed.

  • Materials already purchased or ordered.

  • Costs reasonably incurred before the cancellation request.

Any non-recoverable expenses may be deducted from the refund amount where applicable.

3. Custom Orders

Kitchen remodeling projects often involve bespoke designs, made-to-order materials, and customised installations.

Once custom materials have been ordered or bespoke work has begun, those items or services may not be eligible for cancellation or refund.

4. How to Request a Cancellation

To request a cancellation, please contact us as soon as possible using the details below.

Please include:

  • Your full name

  • Property address

  • Quotation or invoice number (if available)

  • The reason for your cancellation request

Our team will review your request and confirm the next steps.

5. Cancellation Approval

Each cancellation request is reviewed individually.

Where applicable, we will confirm:

  • Whether your cancellation has been approved.

  • Any refund amount that may be due.

  • Any applicable charges for work already completed or materials already ordered.

6. Refund Processing

If your cancellation qualifies for a refund, approved refunds will be processed within 7 business days.

Refunds will be issued using the original payment method whenever possible.

All refunds are processed in British Pound Sterling (GBP £).

7. Our Right to Cancel

We reserve the right to cancel or postpone a consultation or project where necessary due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:

  • Material supply issues

  • Health and safety concerns

  • Severe weather conditions

  • Unforeseen operational circumstances

Where we cancel a project before work has commenced, any payments made for unperformed services will be refunded where applicable.
